Contraindications
None significant beyond standard reflex bag rebound risk.Setup
Reflex bag at head height, boxing stance.
Execution
- 1Throw a jab-cross into the center of the bag
- 2Slip to one side as the bag rebounds back
- 3Immediately fire a second jab-cross as you come out of the slip
- 4Return to guard and repeat, alternating slip direction
- 5Increase speed once the full sequence is consistent
Key cues
- Keep the first 1-2 clean and centered for a predictable rebound
- Time the slip to the bag's actual return, not a guess
- Fire the second 1-2 out of the slip's momentum
- Stay balanced throughout the whole sequence
- Guard hand never fully drops
Common faults
- Off-center first combo causing an unpredictable rebound
- Slipping too early or too late and getting caught
- Losing combination fluency in the second 1-2 due to fatigue or rushing
- Standing flat-footed instead of staying light through the sequence
- Neglecting to alternate slip direction, building a lopsided skill
Tweaks
- Extend to 1-2-slip-1-2-3 for added complexity
- Alternate which hand leads each 1-2
- Perform from southpaw stance periodically

Notes
