Face the anchor, arms extended at chest height, body leaning back in a straight line, light lean angle (closer to vertical) for a rehab-appropriate load.
Execution
- 1Perform a Y raise, sweeping the arms up and out
- 2Return to center and perform a T raise, sweeping the arms straight out to the sides
- 3Return to center and perform a W raise, pulling the elbows back with external rotation
- 4Repeat the Y-T-W sequence for the target number of rounds
Key cues
- Keep the load light — this is about quality and endurance, not heavy resistance
- Squeeze the shoulder blades down and back on every rep
- Move slowly and with control through all three positions
- Maintain a straight body line throughout the entire sequence

- Using too steep a lean angle, making the load too heavy for a health-focused protocol
- Shrugging the shoulders instead of retracting the scapulae

TRX-specific. Angle = intensity: the more horizontal the body relative to the floor, the harder pressing/pulling/plank-style TRX moves become. For pulling movements (rows, face pulls), walking feet toward the anchor and leaning back further increases load. For pressing movements (push-ups, chest press), walking feet away from the anchor and standing more upright decreases load; moving feet closer to directly under the anchor point increases load. Foot position in the straps (heel vs. midfoot vs. toe) also changes leverage and load for lower-body moves.
