Execution
- 1Lower the chest toward the floor under control
- 2Resist any side-to-side sway from the suspended feet
- 3Press back up to full extension
- 4Keep the body rigid throughout
Key cues
- Brace hard against the instability
- Keep hips level, resist swaying
- Elbows at 45 degrees
- Control every inch, don't rush
Common faults
- Excessive hip sway from the suspended position
- Sagging or piking to compensate for instability
- Rushing through reps to avoid the wobble
- Flaring elbows
Tweaks
- Switch to hands-in-straps (chest press) version for a different stability challenge
- Add feet-elevated wide-grip variation
- Progress to TRX atomic push-up combining knee tucks
