Contraindications
Same knee demands as bodyweight version, amplified by load — control the box height to your strength level.Setup

Execution
- 1Drive through the working foot, keeping the dumbbells over mid-foot
- 2Avoid pushing off the back leg
- 3Stand to full extension at the top
- 4Control the descent
- 5Alternate legs or complete all reps per side
Key cues
- Load stays over the mid-foot
- Drive with the working leg only
- Stand tall at the top
- Control the way down
- Keep the chest up throughout
Common faults
- Dumbbells swinging, shifting the load off mid-foot
- Pushing off the back leg
- Box too high for controlled loading
- Knee caving inward
- Rushing reps for momentum
Tweaks
- Hold a single dumbbell for unilateral core challenge
- Try goblet-style holding for more upright torso
- Increase box height once strength allows
