CoreWheel
The most advanced ab wheel progression: starting completely upright and rolling the wheel all the way out to full body extension near the floor, then pulling all the way back to standing — one of the hardest common anti-extension movements in the strength canon.

Contraindications
Not recommended without years of progressive ab wheel training; low back injury risk if attempted prematurely.Setup
Stand fully upright holding the ab wheel at the floor in front of the feet.
Execution
- 1Establish a maximal core brace before any movement
- 2Roll the wheel out under control from standing all the way to full extension
- 3Pause briefly at the bottom if control allows
- 4Pull back to standing using abs and hip flexors, never yanking with the low back
- 5Reset fully between reps
Key cues
- Total-body tension before the first inch
- Control the negative, don't just let gravity take you down
- Drive back up through the abs, not the low back
- Full range only once every rep before it is earned
Common faults
- Attempting before earning full range in the kneeling and feet versions
- Low back taking over at the bottom of the rollout
- Losing tension and collapsing at full extension
- Jerking back up instead of a controlled pull
Tweaks
- Reduce range initially, working up to full extension over weeks
- Use a slight incline surface to reduce difficulty
- Add a pause at full extension once mastered
Muscles
Primary: Rectus Abdominis, Transverse Abdominis
Secondary: Lats, Shoulders, Hip Flexors, Glutes
