CarryKB
A single kettlebell held in the front rack (clean) position at the shoulder while walking. Challenges anterior core to resist both extension (leaning back) and rotation (twisting away from the load), since the weight sits high and to one side.

Reps

Rest

Contraindications
Avoid heavy loading with wrist or elbow pain from the rack contact point.Setup
Clean the kettlebell into the rack position — resting on the forearm and upper arm, elbow tucked to the ribs, wrist neutral.
Execution
- 1Keep the elbow pinned to the ribs, forearm vertical
- 2Brace the abs hard to resist leaning back
- 3Walk with short, controlled steps
- 4Keep hips square — resist rotating away from the load
- 5Switch sides for equal volume
Key cues
- Elbow glued to the ribs
- Ribcage pulled down, don't arch
- Fists/knuckles pointed forward and slightly in
- Square hips, no twisting
- Steady breathing, brace like a punch is coming
Common faults
- Letting the elbow flare away from the body
- Arching the lower back to counter the front load
- Rotating the torso away from the loaded shoulder
- Shifting weight onto the opposite hip
- Rushing the walk and losing rack integrity
Tweaks
- Add distance for grip/rack endurance
- Combine with a suitcase carry on the opposite arm
- Progress to double KB front rack once single-side control is solid
Progressions
Muscles
Primary: Rectus Abdominis, Obliques, Forearms
Secondary: Deltoids, Biceps, Erector Spinae
Notes
STRENGTH carry: moderate-heavy load, moderate distance. Front rack carries directly transfer to front squat and clean rack-position endurance.
