Lie on the floor, knees bent, feet flat. Hold dumbbells at chest level with elbows bent.

Execution

  1. 1Press dumbbells up until arms are extended
  2. 2Lower until the back of the upper arms touch the floor
  3. 3Pause briefly at the bottom
  4. 4Press back up without bouncing

Key cues

  • Let elbows rest lightly on the floor, don't slam
  • Press straight up over the shoulders
  • Keep ribs down, don't overarch
  • Full stop at the bottom each rep
